Audifort vs Lipo-Flavonoid: Ingredients, Dosing, Price and Refunds
Lipo-Flavonoid is the hearing supplement most people have seen on a pharmacy shelf, and Audifort is one of the newer formulas sold online. They take very different approaches, and which one suits you depends mostly on how you like to take a supplement and where you like to buy it.

Ingredients and approach
Lipo-Flavonoid has been on drugstore shelves for decades. Its tinnitus product, now sold as Lipo-Flavonoid Ear Ringing (formerly Lipo-Flavonoid Plus), is built around a lemon bioflavonoid complex together with vitamin C and B vitamins (B1, B2, niacin, B6, B12 and pantothenic acid). The idea is to support circulation in the inner ear. It is a short, simple label.
Audifort goes broad. Its blend combines antioxidants (grape seed, green tea, Panax ginseng, astragalus), circulation support (L-arginine, capsicum), calming ingredients (GABA, L-tryptophan) and energy herbs (maca, guarana, eleuthero), plus chromium and gymnema for blood sugar. If you see hearing as part of a bigger picture that includes sleep, stress and energy, Audifort covers more of it in one product. The full list is on the Audifort ingredients page.
Dosing and convenience
This is where Audifort clearly wins. One dropper a day, under the tongue or in a glass of water, is about as easy as a supplement gets. Lipo-Flavonoid asks first-time users to take two caplets three times a day, after meals, for 60 days, and then one caplet three times a day. That is six pills a day to start, split across the day, and many people find a midday dose easy to miss.
Research
Neither product has strong clinical proof for tinnitus, and it is fair to say so for both. Lipo-Flavonoid has one published randomized trial: in a 2016 study in the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology, 40 people with tinnitus took Lipo-Flavonoid Plus for six months, with or without manganese, and the authors could not conclude that either was effective.
Audifort has no trial of the finished product. Some of its ingredients have encouraging early data, especially Panax ginseng, which improved tinnitus handicap scores at the higher dose in a Korean pilot trial. For context, the best-known herbal option, ginkgo, which neither product relies on, came out of a 2022 Cochrane review with little to no evidence of benefit.
Price per day
Audifort costs $49 to $79 a bottle depending on the pack, which works out to about $1.63 to $2.80 a day at one dropper. Lipo-Flavonoid is sold at retail prices that vary by store. At six caplets a day, a 100-caplet bottle lasts a little over two weeks during the first 60 days, so the starting phase costs more than the label price suggests; it gets cheaper once you move to the three-a-day maintenance dose. Audifort's full pack prices are on the price page.
Refunds and buying
Lipo-Flavonoid's big advantage is availability: you can buy one box at a pharmacy today, with no minimum order. Returns depend on the store you bought it from.
Audifort is sold in packs of two, three or six bottles from its official site only. In return you get a written 90-day money-back guarantee from the company, backed by ClickBank's order support. For a supplement that takes weeks to judge, a long refund window is worth a lot.
Which one should you choose?
Choose Audifort if you want the simplest daily routine, like the idea of a broad formula that also covers sleep, stress and energy, and want a long refund window while you try it.
Choose Lipo-Flavonoid if you prefer a vitamin-based formula with no caffeine, want to buy a single box at a pharmacy, or don't want to order online.
Whichever you pick, get your hearing checked if it has changed, and see a doctor about ringing in one ear only or sudden hearing loss. The NIDCD's tinnitus guide explains which treatments have the best evidence, including sound therapy and counseling. Our full score for Audifort is in the Audifort review.
Side effects compared
Both are low-risk for most healthy adults, but they differ in what to watch for.
Lipo-Flavonoid is mostly vitamins. At the starting dose of six caplets a day, the niacin can cause flushing in some people, and taking the caplets on an empty stomach can cause nausea, which is why the maker says to take them after meals. It contains no stimulants.
Audifort has a broader herbal blend at small amounts. The things to know are the caffeine from guarana and green tea (take it in the morning), gymnema and chromium lowering blood sugar (check with your doctor if you take diabetes medication), and L-tryptophan (check with your pharmacist if you take an antidepressant). The details are on the Audifort side effects page.
Neither should be started during pregnancy without a doctor's advice, and anyone on several prescription medications should run either label past a pharmacist first.
Questions about the two
Can I take Audifort and Lipo-Flavonoid together?
They don't share ingredients, so there is no obvious clash, but there is also no evidence that combining them works better. If you want to try both, start one at a time so you can tell what each does.
Which one works faster?
Neither company promises quick results. Lipo-Flavonoid's directions run for 60 days at the higher dose. Audifort's company says some people notice changes in the first week and recommends four months for full results.
Which is better for older adults?
Both are taken by older adults. Audifort's single daily dropper is easier to remember than six caplets, which matters if you already take several medications.
